Alisa To my understanding the subject matter of both varies. Logic is the pursuit of truth. Reasoning helps us discover if something is verifiably and rationally true or not. Morality, that is parameters of right and wrong are taken from cultures and religions and some theories and ethics are relative, that is, they change in terms of space and time. So one thing can be moral for people of one time and location and immoral for others. Truth can also be moral and immoral for people from different places and times. Yes, though reasoning can be used as a tool in ethics it is not the primary function of reasoning.
